Two islands of Seychelles get their own visitor鈥檚 guide

(海角在线免费) - Will you be on holiday in the Seychelles and spending a few days on Praslin and La Digue? Need a taxi, a good restaurant or a place to stay? A new guidebook will help you plot out the perfect vacation.
The first of its kind, the SEYGUIDE, which covers Praslin and La Digue, the second and third most populated islands of Seychelles, is being distributed for free to visitors locally and will soon be available internationally.
According to the author, B茅n茅dicte Beylot-Turcotte, a French national married to a Seychellois, there was a demand to have something specifically for the two islands as they attract many visitors coming to the archipelago in the western Indian Ocean.
鈥淭he guide is not only meant for consultation when you are in Seychelles but with the variety of photos and quality of printing, it is also a souvenir of Praslin and La Digue, that one would want to take home to friends and families and share with future visitors,鈥 said Beylot-Turcotte.
Printed in Dubai, SEYGUIDE鈥檚 first edition of over 30,000 copies is distributed free of charge by establishments and businesses featured in it. SEYGUIDE is also available at the Seychelles鈥 airport and seaport, the post office and tourism offices.
The guide's website (www.seyguide.com) can direct any interested parties to the businesses or services they desire.
Beylot-Turcotte says she is already getting 4,000 visitors per month and around 60,000 clicks per day.
鈥淭hose that have participated in the first edition of the guide are happy with how it came out,鈥 she said.
Beylot-Turcotte says that in the next edition, she will include large hotels and family-owned guesthouses, cosy restaurants, walking tours and best sites to visit.
鈥淔or the second edition, we will make twice the number of copies,鈥 she said.
According to Beylot-Turcotte for the edition due in October, as there is a request for international distribution, Mahe, the most populated island of Seychelles and some of the archipelago鈥檚聽 best Island resorts will be included. It will also feature some selected advertisement.
