(海角在线免费) - The Seychelles Vice President Danny Faure and his wife Jeanine divorced on Monday, State House said.
Their divorce was pronounced by the Supreme Court earlier on Monday, a State House statement said.
鈥淭hey have asked that their privacy and that of their children be respected,鈥� the statement said.
Vice President Faure and Jeannine Faure, whose maiden name is De Comarmond have聽four children.
The news comes less than a week before Faure is scheduled to be sworn in as Seychelles鈥� new President on Sunday.
He is taking over the presidency after President James Michel announced his resignation on September 27.
Faure, 54, has been the island nation鈥檚 Vice President since 2010.
